MIKE MCENTIRE

Mike is the owner along with wife Nathalie of Mike McEntire Reining Horses Inc, located in Selma, North Carolina. 

Mike started showing and training all around horses when he was still a teen age and eventually decided on  reining as a priority. He worked at Loomis ranch in Oklahoma for some time and eventually established himself here on the East Coast in 1993 setting up his own business. Mike has over $775,000 NRHA LTE. He is a consistent finalist at major events in the open and has won several prestigious titles. He has been ranked among the NRHA's Top Twenty Professionals since the commencement of the program in 2003 and was again in 2010 earning over $150,000 NRHA.

Mike is proud to say he has been helped and inspired by several great trainers like Bill Horn, Kenny Eppers, Shawn Flarida, Craig Schmersal, Tim McQuay and many others.

Today our business has grown and now we manage a facility where we keep around 60 horses in training at all times and also we offer a fully equipped breeding facility where we stand several stallions and breed +/-100 mares a year for the public. Mike coaches non-pros and gives clinics in the US and internationally. He is also a USEF and international NRHA judge and serves on the NRHA Judge’s Committee as well as the teaching panel.

Mike's other passion and hobby is motocross. He likes to ride as often as he can and is doing very well racing. He bought a 2011 Honda CRF450 and is looking very fast on it!
